Osteopathy for athletes
Whatever your level or discipline, sport subjects the body to repeated mechanical stresses that can generate pain, restrictions of movement or impair performance.
Osteopathy supports the athlete:
- preventively to keep the body functional and reduce the risk of injury
- in recovery to help the body restore its balance after a trauma or intense effort
Common reasons for consultation
- Low back pain, neck pain and upper back pain related to sports practice
- Joint pain: knee, hip, shoulder, ankle
- Tendinopathies: epicondylitis, heel pain, pubalgia
- Post-trauma sequelae: sprains, fractures, falls
- Poor recovery between events
- Stress and sleep disorders related to sports practice
A particular affinity for cycling and mountain biking
Having grown up in an environment of cycling enthusiasts and with experience at cycling sports events and a partnership with a Luxembourg mountain biking association, I have a thorough understanding of the specific physical demands of these disciplines and the issues faced by their practitioners.
This list is not exhaustive. If you have questions about the relevance of osteopathic care for your situation, do not hesitate to contact me before your first appointment.
