What is cervicalgia?

Cervicalgia refers to pain localised in the cervical spine, i.e. the upper part of the vertebral column, between the base of the skull and the shoulders. It can be acute, such as torticollis, or develop gradually and become chronic.

It most often results from a combination of factors: prolonged postures in front of a screen, sedentary lifestyle, stress and mental load, old or recent traumas, or tensions distant from the painful area that perpetuate symptoms without being immediately identifiable.
